Yilan is the nearest site to the great Taipei area for whale-watching, with over ten whale-watching companies inside Wushih Harbor alone, providing a variety of choices.
In the past, Wushih Harbor lost its function due to sludge banks and USA ships struck rocks and sank outside the harbor, which clogged up the port. However, Wushih currently underwent offshore harbor construction, now equipped with a fishery sales center, and as it is the closest harbor to Gueishan Island, it has become the main harbor for whale-watching in the waters of Gueishan Island in Yilan.
With a modernized tourist information center inside the harbor area, you can learn all about the culture and history, geology and landscape, ecology and environment of Gueishan Island through simple presentations. After the whale-watching cruise, you can taste the freshest seafood from local waters at the fishery sales center.

By Car：
Take Provincial Highway No. 2 (Coast Highway) to Wushih Harbor, or take Taipei-Yilan Highway, get off at Ercheng junction, turn left on 190 Yilan County Road to Toucheng for Provincial Highway No. 2 to Wushih Harbor.
Public Transport ：
Take the train to Toucheng Station, walk for 25 mins or take a taxi from Toucheng Train Station.
